Pooi owns up and quits as DAP polls director

GEORGE TOWN: DAP election director Pooi Weng Keong has taken responsibility for the error in the tabulation of votes in the recent party election and has resigned from the post.
He has also resigned as Federal Territory DAP committee member.
Party secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said Pooi had admitted to his mistake and had resigned from the posts.

ahaa!! complaining got ill feeling about how sprm handling the election ballots, counting process and procedures...they re the one who's championing the issue...brought it into street demo and very vocal on issues so called SPRM inefficiencies...
say what?? there was a tally error in DAP very own recent party election? ...oh boy, but then before this so called party with abundance of 'smart alec' announced it, surely the result being accepted by any audit or election committee!
hello...this is only party election level.... then what more if you guys handling national level ??
the mistake was made known internally on 17 dec 2012 but only made known to public recently?

...'An organising committee member of the 16th party congress, however, said the results announced on Dec 17 should have remained.
“Nobody disputed it then. I do not understand why there was a need to make an amendment,'' said the member who spoke on condition of anonymity.'
